Dolderer takes tenth place in New York 21/06/2010 |

Matthias Dolderer finished tenth at the fifth round of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship in New York City (USA) on Sunday. Dolderer, who flew his new race plane, an Edge 540 V3, was on a blistering time through the challenging track over the Hudson River. A two-second penalty at the penultimate gate due to incorrect knife-flying cost him the chance to enter the Super 8.
"Today was not my day. Of course, I'm not satisfied", said Dolderer. "Few things didn't turn out as we would like. We had some problems. New race plane, new race track, maybe that was the reason. Now we'll look forward to the next race in Germany. We'll be back."
Britains Paul Bonhomme claimed victory with Nigel Lamb (GBR) and Kirby Chambliss (USA) taking second and third respectively. |
